Irregardless Café Catering Director to Join

Center for Environmental Farming Systems Board

Raleigh, N.C. – Irregardless Café is pleased to announce that Catering Director Anya Gordon has been invited to join the Board of Advisors for the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS). As a member of the Board, Mrs. Gordon will be a part of broadening sustainable agriculture’s options and impact across North Carolina and the country.

The CEFS Board of Advisors collaborates with faculty and staff from NC State University, NC A&T University, and the N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services to promote food and farming systems that protect the environment, strengthen local communities, and provide economic opportunities in the state and beyond. The Board is composed of other agricultural, environmental, and business leaders influential in the private and nonprofit sectors.

“It is such an honor to be asked to join the Board of Advisors for CEFS,” says Mrs. Gordon. “We’ve worked hard for 35 years to support local farmers, promote a healthier environment, and educate the next generation of consumers. I’m looking forward to drawing on my experiences to further the mission of this dynamic and progressive organization.”

The Irregardless Café was recently named the Green For-Profit Business Leader of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal Green Awards. Over the years, the Irregardless Café has consistently received praise from local and national media. In July, Raleigh’s News and Observer named the Irregardless Café as one of the 50 culinary reasons the Triangle is a great place to live and eat. The New York Times calls the Irregardless Café “the place to eat…in Raleigh.”
