Garner Business Magazine Highlights Business, Residential Growth
Triangle -

GARNER, N.C. – “It’s Garner’s time,” says Ken Atkins, executive director of Wake County Economic Development in the newly released edition of Garner Business, an annual magazine promoting business development in the Garner area. Several factors – including a well-educated workforce, highway improvements, proximity to downtown Raleigh, available land and solid infrastructure – combine to make Garner a great place to do business, according to Atkins.

New residential developments featuring luxury homes, plus access to diverse health care resources and top-notch schools are also drawing new residents to Garner.

The second annual issue of Garner Business magazine highlights these and other topics in a glossy, four-color publication now available through the Garner Chamber of Commerce and other outlets.

“This spring, the town and Chamber staged a very successful showcase event where we gave a bus tour to business, political and development leaders,” said Chamber President Neal Padgett. “The refrain we heard over and over again was, ‘I didn’t know that about Garner.’ They left with a new appreciation of our town, and Garner Business magazine will only reinforce that.”

Garner Business focuses on the town’s quality of life and business climate through several articles:

  • How luxury homes are changing Garner’s housing market
  • A profile of longtime realtor and developer Margaret Williford
  • The awakening of downtown Garner
  • Why industrial heavyweights Golden State Foods and Butterball selected Garner
  • The success of Craig Davis Properties’ Greenfield North business park
  • Educational options, including Garner High’s International Baccalaureate program, Wake Tech and nearby N.C. State University
  • How town growth has spurred more specialized medical care choices

“Our editorial content really reflects the diversity of opportunities and amenities in Garner,” said Garner Business Managing Editor Danielle Caspar.
